Twenties & Turmoil

Hi.

Don’t go through turmoil alone. Click, explore, stay a while. I'll cook with you, read with you, vent with you and laugh with you. Hello, new friend.

Don't Be Mean, Eat Vanilla NICEcream

Don't Be Mean, Eat Vanilla NICEcream

I’m completely aware that I can be cranky at times, but I’m really not that difficult to tend to. Just feed me ice cream and don’t talk to me—nothing like a little quiet time with a frozen treat to stave off the bitchiness. With that being said, my doctor would vehemently disprove of ice cream for breakfast. So, like the stubborn Taurus that I am, I set out to prove that I could have my ice cream for breakfast and eat it too.

The key to thick and creamy #nicecream is to use all frozen fruit, throw in some vegan protein powder and use as little liquid as possible. I’m saying it now and I’ll say it again: DO NOT FEAR THE BANANA. For some reason, bananas have gotten a bad rep. It’s likely due to the fad diet culture, but it’s truly an injustice to the most diverse, necessary, bountiful fruit that this earth has blessed us with. Frozen bananas will transform your nicecream and in my humble opinion, you can’t make nicecream without them.

Now, stop being such a bitch and go make yourself a cup.

Creamy Vanilla Nicecream

The Goods:

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 1 cup frozen peaches

  • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used Vega Team Clean Protein)

  • 2/3 cup nut milk (I used homemade from my Ellie’s Best nut milk bag— 10% off with code SAMMIBROOKE)

  • Optional Topping: Granola Butter (Kween & Co.)

Throw It Together:

  1. Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend.

  2. Stop and scrape down the sides. Only add more liquid if you feel your blender needs it. Remember: The less liquid you use, the thicker it will be!

  3. Scoop out and drizzle on that granola buttuh (or whatever toppings your prefer).

  4. Eat your nicecream and stop being such a bitch Xx
