Chocolate Protein Balls

Chocolate Protein Balls

BALLIN’ on a budget with Whole Foods tastebuds. Anyone else feel me? Trying to be trendy and healthy is a pricey hobby. Companies these days have the audacity to charge astronomical prices for the simplest snacks. Don’t they know it’s rough out there, fam?

Now, instead of sitting here and complaining about it, I decided to get off of my millennial high horse—you know, the horse that lets me complain but not do anything about it—and recreated this fad snack trend with ingredients I already had in my cabinet.

Do you like chocolate? Keep reading. Are you a human who needs protein? Keep reading. Would you eat dessert for every snack? Keep reading.

These Chocolate Protein Balls have 4 ingredients (minus toppings) and taste like a party in your mouth. Blend ‘em. Freeze ‘em. Eat ‘em. Simple as that. Ok, now go make them.

What’s In The Balls?

How Do I Make The Balls?

  • Pulse all ingredients in a food processor or blender (I use a Ninja!)

  • After pulsing a few times, stop to scrape down the sides + blend until it forms a “dough”

  • Use a tablespoon to spoon out your dough and roll into balls

  • Sprinkle coconut shreds + cacao nibs on a plate and roll your balls until it’s fully coated
