Banana Oat Bars: Break Fasts, Not Wallets

Banana Oat Bars: Break Fasts, Not Wallets

Where are my starving & broke millennials at??? Since we live in a culture where there is a huge emphasis on eating clean and trendy foods, it can be seriously treacherous trying to keep up with it all while also trying not to go broke.

Let’s face it: eating healthy can be damn expensive. So many influencers document themselves with their favorite brands of bars on-the-go to promote how to snack quickly and cleanly. I do it, too! Here’s the thing, friends. While buying your bars will save you time, it will not save you money. I think it’s important to show my fellow millennials that monetary struggles do not have to equate to poor health.

These bars take a total of 5 minutes to throw together and another 15 to bake. I know you have that time, don’t lie to me or yourself. Bring your computer to the kitchen while binging your current Netflix fav and give your wallet a rest.

These Banana Oat Breakfast Bars are packed with all the goods to give you energy throughout your day. The best part? Your kitchen will smell like a Banana Bread Yankee Candle. So really, you’re getting a few bars AND a free air freshener all for a cheap price. You’re freakin’ welcome.

What’s In The Bars?

Now Let’s Make It:

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix

  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and shape into 4 large or 6 small bars

  • Bake for ~15 min

  • Let cool + drizzle with some more nut butter & coconut shreds
